Corporate Realty Associates and Bushnell Realty Join Forces
June 11, 2008
Bushnell Realty and Corporate Realty Associates finalized a merger this week, joining forces under the Corporate Realty name with Bushnell’s firm moving into CRA’s offices on First Avenue North. Industry veteran Barbara Bushnell will assume the title of Executive Vice President of Corporate Services and Client Development at CRA. Bushnell started her career in office and retail leasing in 1979 and was responsible for more than 1 million square feet of office space at Eason Graham & Sandner Inc. before launching her own company in 2006. She is President of the Alabama CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) Chapter, an internationally recognized organization of commercial real estate professionals, and travels nationally as a CCIM Institute instructor. Andrea Faush with Bushnell Realty has been in commercial real estate business for over five years having worked with Bushnell at Eason Graham & Sandner and then with Hydinger & Stewart before joining Bushnell Realty last fall. Robert Simon, Principal of Corporate Realty Associates, said Bushnell brings a level of expertise in landlord representation that CRA needed. CRA provides corporate leasing, property sales, real estate development, location and site analysis, consulting and research services. The Corporate Realty family also includes Corporate Realty Management, Corporate Realty Development and One Residential. “Barbara is recognized as a leader in our industry and brings with her a long list of contacts and a reputation for delivering great results for clients,” Simon said. “This merger puts us in a place where we cannot only compete with some of our larger industry peers but compete on the absolute highest level.” Simon said he believes the partnership will help CRA grow its portfolio in the coming months. Bushnell said CRA’s offer to join forces was a welcome surprise for her. “I see it as an opportunity for Andrea and me to join an organization that has a structure in place to allow me to focus on what I do best. I was ready to focus less on the day-to-day management of my business and more on providing the best service possible to clients.” Simon said in addition to her experience and reputation Bushnell has a personality that fits well in the culture at CRA. “We very much function as a team here, and our success is dependent on us all working well together,” he said. “We knew Barbara could step in to our world seamlessly and be the kind of leader that would make us all better at our jobs.”
